We’re pleased to announce the completion of our recent custom church stained glass project at St. Edwards Church. The 15-year-old church is located in Pennsylvania and was interested in constructing a new stained glass window in place of its large existing window overlooking the main street intersection. The stained glass window project was a tribute to their former pastor and also served as a functional piece for concealing the street view during service.
The Custom Church Stained Glass Manufacturing Process
The church researched a multitude of companies about two years ago. Since this happened during the pandemic, we hosted our consultation through video chat when normally we would’ve visited in person. The church decided to go with our company and initially had sketches of the tree of life done. However, as we were finalizing the design, Father Rick happened to mention that one day the church would do another window on the other side of the church depicting Jesus on the Sea of Galilee, which was his favorite teaching from the Bible. Our painted glass artist picked up on this, designed the Sea of Galilee window, and presented it. The church fell in love and raised donations in order to fund the new project. We were able to achieve the three-dimensional look through painting and shading. Our artist depicted calm waters as a metaphor to show Jesus on the side of the storm.
